Nancy J Howell

Nancy Howell (nee Mularz), 76, of Hillside passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026. Nancy’s greatest joy in life was being a loving mother to sons, Jamie and Jason Howell. She is predeceased by her loving husband Garry and her parents Bruno and Josephine Mularz. Nancy, who was originally from Elizabeth, built her home with her husband and children in Hillside.

In her early career, she worked at Elizabeth City Hall. After starting her family, Nancy choose to move on to work at Evergreen Cemetery, in Hillside, and remained as their Office Manager for over 40 years. Nancy loved her children, family and friends and never missed an opportunity to be present in their lives or any special events. Her kindness also showed through in her deep love and affection for all the family dogs, each one holding a very special place in her heart. Her radiant blue eyes will forever be remembered in the lives of everyone she touched.

For those looking to pay their respects, there will be two hour viewing on Tuesday, January 13 at 9 AM at McCracken Funeral Home, located at 1500 Morris Avenue, Union, NJ. Immediately following the funeral home there will be a procession to St. Gertrude Cemetery, located at 53 Inman Avenue, Colonia, NJ where she will be laid to eternal rest.
