Norma S. Villa (Hotz) passed away peacefully Saturday, October 3, 2020 in Frederica, Delaware surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of Rudolph and Emmy (Blechmann) Hotz who predeceased her. Norma was born April 2, 1938 in Newark NJ and moved to Union NJ where she resided most of her life.

Norma met the love of her life Anthony J. Villa in Union High School. They married on August 15, 1959 and shared 27 blessed years before Anthony died in 1986. She is survived by their two loving daughters, Debbie Villa Lasher of Union, NJ and Kathy Villa Barlow and husband Robert Barlow of Frederica, Delaware, her beloved brother Waldo Hotz and his daughters Dawn, Becky and Laura, and beloved sister-in-law Elaine Villa Sadoski.

“Oma” will forever be lovingly remembered by her endeared grandchildren John Lasher, Michael and wife Rita Lasher, Karen Lasher, Bobby Barlow, and Branden and wife Stephanie Barlow.

Norma’s great-grandchildren Dylan and Nathan Lasher and Rosalie Barlow brought her unending joy these last few years, her smile lighting up the whole room each day she spent with them.

Norma is also survived my many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, cousins, and other family members.

After working many years at Tessler & Weiss and Sharon Concepts, Norma retired in 2002 after working for Dr. Stephen Busby where she was fondly remembered for the warm welcome she gave to each patient.

In her spare time when Norma was not doting on her family, she enjoyed watching TV especially The Price is Right, The Talk, and Hallmark movies. She spent hours doing crossword puzzles and leaves behind many beautiful handmade afghans she lovingly crocheted for family and friends alike.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation services at McCracken Funeral Home in Union, NJ on Wednesday, October 14 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15, at 10 am at McCracken Funeral Home followed by Interment at Hollywood Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests you consider a donation to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963 in Norma’s name.

My thoughts and prayers for Norma's family. May the fond memories with Norma be a comfort to you. I have many good memories as I was her neighbor on Day Terrace as we grew up together.
