Patricia Ann Dowling

Patricia Ann Dowling (nee Kane), beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, of Scotch Plains, NJ, formerly of Brick NJ, passed away peacefully on Christmas Day December 25, 2021. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. James the Apostle Church 45 South Springfield Avenue Springfield, NJ, on Friday January 7, 2022 at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery Newark, NJ. The family will receive their friends at McCracken Funeral Home 1500 Morris Avenue Union, NJ, on Friday January 7, 2022 from 9 to 10:45 AM. Patricia was predeceased by her parents Catherine and John Kane, her two brothers John (Connie) Kane and William (Kathleen) Kane. She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years Patrick Joseph Dowling, her devoted children Michael Dowling, Catherine (Ed) Deel and Maura (Mike) Disko and her cherished grandsons who were her pride and joy; Michael, Matthew, Christopher and Ryan. Born in New York City, Patricia grew up in Roselle, NJ. She attended St. Joseph the Carpenter Church and School. She was a graduate of Benedictine Academy High School in Elizabeth, NJ. Patricia was a Broker Assistant with Legg Mason in Westfield, NJ, before her retirement. Patricia loved the Jersey Shore, where the family enjoyed many vacations on Long Beach Island. She never missed an opportunity to spend time by the water.
