

Richard E. DeRosa affectionately known as “Rick” by family and friends passed away April 21, 2020 at age 63. Having been raised in Union, he went on to attend Kean University. He worked for many years at Mount Bethel Village as a rehabilitative tech, caring for and leading activities for the special needs residents. A member of SAG, Screen Actors Guild, Rick fulfilled his passion of acting as an extra in films. He also had a big heart for animals and spent much of his spare time doing rescue and rehabilitation. Lovingly providing a home to those who stole his heart. An avid baseball fan, he was often found cheering on his favorite team, the Boston Red Sox. Predeceased by his parents, Dominick and June DeRosa. He leaves behind his devoted sister, Donna Drohan and her husband John, niece, Jamie Tompkins and her husband Kevin. Niece, Kelly Drohan, nephew, Connor Drohan and wife, Andrea and his longtime companion, Peggy Garon. Memorial donations in Rick’s name may be made to St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center 575 Woodland Avenue Madison, NJ 07940.
