

Richard P. Uniacke, 66, of Westfield, NJ and North Plainfield, NJ, passed away peacefully at the New Jersey Veteran's Memorial Home, in Edison, on Monday, May 27, 2013. A memorial service will be held at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Avenue, Union, NJ, on Friday, May 31, 2013 from 3 to 6 p.m. He will be interred privately in Ohio at a later date. Richard was a retired special agent of the FBI and faithfully served his country as an officer in the United States Army in Vietnam. He was the recipient of several medals, including the Bronze Star Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster and “V” Device for heroism and meritorious service. He was a 30 year veteran of the FBI and served in the Special Operations Division and FBI Dive Team. He also spent time volunteering with the Westfield Rescue Squad. He is survived by his son, Richard J. Uniacke and his wife Denise, and his daughters Allison and Amanda Uniacke, two grandsons, John and Brendan Uniacke, his former wife Victoria Uniacke, his brother C.
