Robert James Schardien Jr., 26 of Hillsborough NJ, formally of Union NJ passed away on October 25, 2016. Visitation will take place on Sunday, October 30th from 2-6 PM at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave., Union. A funeral service will take place on Monday October 31st at 10 AM at the funeral home, followed by Interment at Rosedale Cemetery, Linden. Robert was employed at Air Liquide Advanced Materials in Branchburg NJ. He was an active service radio technician for the U.S. Marine Corps for 5 years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, as well as working on his trucks. He is survived by his loving wife Jamie (Ellis) Schardien, his mother Eva Schardien, his sister Marianna Schardien and her fiance Ibrian Marcanco, his nephew Sebastien as well as a second niece or nephew expected in April. He is pre- deceased by his father Robert Sr.
