

She was the daughter of the late Patrick and Elizabeth (Buckley) Cavalla and was predeceased by her only sibling, Frank Cavalla, and her beloved husband, Stephen R. Persak Sr., who predeceased her in 2012 after 60 years of a memorable marriage. They traveled extensively throughout the entire United States and abroad, as well as on numerous cruises and Island hopping. The beautiful memories of these adventures remained with her forever.
Rosebud's favorite pastime was walking the shopping malls. Whenever a new fashion style was introduced and was appropriate for her, she always left the store with a purchase in hand. Rosebud was constantly complimented for always looking her best. She started her career as a legal secretary in Elizabeth, New Jersey, and continued in the field of insurance in Manhattan for several years. Life in the big city was so enjoyable for her, seeing many of the Broadway shows current at that time and having dinner at fine restaurants with her coworkers were unforgettable experiences.
Eventually, Rosebud relocated to Metuchen, New Jersey as secretary to the general sales manager of the Steel Container, Casting division of Mobile Chemical Company where she met the love of her life who was in training as a salesman at that time. Their union was one of love, devotion, and friendship.
Rosebud is survived by her beloved daughter, Susan Brenner of Livingston, New Jersey, her devoted Son Douglas Persak of Union her dear grandson, TJ Brenner of Livingston and her cherished special-needs granddaughter Katelyn Brenner of Livingston, New Jersey who was her greatest inspiration.
Burial services will occur at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield, New Jersey, and will be private at the request of the family.
