He was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey to the late Joseph and Natalie (nee Rickle) Schumann.
Russell served his country proudly in the United States Navy.
He is survived by his loving wife Virginia (nee Norako) Schumann.
He was a resident of Union, New Jersey, Russell was known for his warmth and kindness to all who knew him. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
