Walter H. Baker

Walter was born in Newark, NJ and resided in Irvington for 55 years. He was employed as a letter carrier for the Bloomfield Post Office for 41 years. He was also a member of the Franklin Century Lodge and the Scottish Rite.

Beloved husband of Barbara Baker. Loving father of Rodney Baker and his wife Kathleen, Bonnie Cuber, Ronald Baker and his wife Heidi, Jeffrey Baker and his wife Betsy. Adoring grandfather of Christopher, Annelise, Russell, Colleen, Briana, Jacob, and John. Dear brother of Lawrence Baker, Carol Weierich, and the late William Baker. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place on Friday, June 12th from 4-8 PM at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave., Union NJ 07083. A service will take place at the funeral home on Saturday, June 13th at 10 AM, with interment to follow at Crest Haven Cemetery, Clifton.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Walter’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
