Walter A. McMahon

Walter was the beloved husband of 57 years to Sue McMahon. He was the devoted father of Michael (Hydie), and Lisa (Todd). He was a proud and loving grandfather to Ryan, Lucas, and Olivia, who brought him immense joy.

Walter dedicated 41 years of service to the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier before retiring 27 years ago. He was known for his strong work ethic, kind heart, and unwavering devotion to his family.

A man strong in his Catholic faith, Walter lived his life guided by the values of love, kindness, humility, and service to others. His faith was a source of strength throughout his life and brought him comfort and peace.

An avid dog lover and lifelong New York Giants fan, Walter especially looked forward to football season each year. Whether cheering on the Giants, spending time with family and friends, or enjoying the companionship of his beloved dogs, he found happiness in life's simple pleasures.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Monday, August 31, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Avenue, Union, New Jersey.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 1st at 10:15 a.m. at St. Michael's Church, 1212 Kelly Street, Union, New Jersey.

Interment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park Cemetery.
