Bill grew up in Irvington NJ where he attended the Chancellor Avenue school & Irvington High. He met his late wife Dolores when he was 17 years old. They were fortunate enough to spend 71 years together & celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary in April 2020.
Bill worked for Thomas & Betts his entire career staring off as a tool maker & retiring as an Engineer. He held several patents for his inventions.
His parents Otto & Marie Deck emigrated from Germany & made a wonderful life in America. Bill spoke fluent German & enjoyed going to the Deutscher Club on Saturday nights with Dolores. They enjoyed dancing the Waltz & time with their friends.
Bill was the best Husband, Dad & Grandfather. He was always there to help with anything his children needed & willing to help anyone out. We called him Mr. Fixit! He could build or fix anything. He was an absolute family man & his family was his Pride & Joy. Bill was Kind & Loving.
He is survived by his Daughters Pat (Robert) & Lisa (Henry) , Granddaughter’s Jacqui (Jeffrey) & Megan (Shawn) & his Great Grandson Bobby.
He is also survived by Annmarie & James Fisher & their children Grace & Nicholas (who he thought of as beloved family)
Bill was pre-deceased by the Love of his life Dolores & his Granddaughter Nicole.
With heavy hearts, we will miss our Patriarch and know he will be FOREVER in our hearts watching over us, the same way he did our entire lives. We were beyond blessed to have him.
There will be a Celebration Of Life in the near future.
