It has almost been a year now since you passed.  I still miss you with all my heart.   Duke had it very good with a great family who adopted him. Sadly he passed away also not long ago.  Very sad.  But I want to believe he is with you for eternity.

Bill, I miss you very much already.  I feel an emptiness inside.  You had a horrible couple of years being sick, but you know what ... between you, Duke and me, we all made it.  You were a wonderful son, taking care of your dad and mom right to the end and I'm so proud of you for that.  My family was so helpful to you in many ways and I'm so happy you had them also in your life.
  Rest in peace and I'll always have you and Duke on my mind.  Duke will be fine so don't worry about him.  
  Now you understand everything and I know our Lord welcomed you with open arms.
