Alice Wilson Lichti

August 7,1931-September 29, 2023

A long and fruitful life spanning 92 years came to an end as Alice passed away suddenly on September 29,2023.

She leaves behind her step-daughter Ann Lichti Huston, step-son Donovan Lichti, three grandchildren Roderick Huston, Jennifer Huston, and Dylan Lichti, and nephews Jeffrey Wilson, Scott Wilson, and David Wilson, and the nieces and nephews of her extended family. Alice was preceded in death by her husband Albert (1993).

Alice was born in Galveston, Texas in 1931. Her father was an Episcopal Priest and the family moved to several locations during Alice’s childhood, including Tennessee and Chariton, Iowa. Alice graduated from Chariton High School in 1949, and soon after graduation, enlisted in the Women’s Army Corps, where she was stationed in Heidelberg, Germany. She moved to California in 1959 where she met and subsequently married Albert Lichti in 1964.

Alice was a Certified Public Accountant and worked for the Chino Basin Municipal Water District. She was the District’s Controller and was a member of the Municipal Finance Officers of America.

Alice was an active member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and the First Mennonite Church. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing in Big Bear Lake. She loved to sing and participated in several choirs. She was quick to join her many friends in various social activities and to spend quiet times enjoying the company of her cat Angie.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on October 19, 2023 at 1:00 pm at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 330 E. 16th St, Upland, CA 91784. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of Upland Animal Shelter at https://www.friendsofuplandanimalshelter.org.
