Amy and her younger sister Kari, being the daughters of an Air Force Officer lived and traveled throughout the U.S. and abroad during their childhoods. Amy graduated from Croughton High School in England where she was the Homecoming Queen, a cross country standout and Student Council President. She graduated from Boston University in 1993 with a Communications Degree. After graduation she moved to Philadelphia, started her career and married Alan Levy. Amy worked in advertising for Weichert Realtors and later decided her real passion was interior design and moved to a high end furniture store in Philadelphia.
In 2000, Amy and Alan moved to California to lovingly help care for her mother, who they lost in 2002. Amy continued to follow her passion for color and design, creating her own company, “Design Gypsy”. In 2013, Amy and Alan made the decision to separate.
In 2014, Amy was diagnosed with EHE, a rare cancer in the blood vessels of her lungs. At that point she was told that her EHE was inoperable and incurable and that at some point it would rear its ugly head and palliative care would start unless they found a cure. Amy’s bravery and courage were unrivaled. She continued to believe she could stay healthy and live alone and so she did...
Eight years ago Amy met the love of her life and her rock, Eric Radany. They created a wonderful life together with family, friends and Eric’s children Molly and Tim. The years were filled with love, laughter and happiness.
Amy continued with her company up to the very end still bringing her extraordinary talent and vibrant spirit to every space she touched. She was unwavering in her commitment, giving her whole heart to everything she did for clients, family and friends in spite of her diagnosis.
Amy will be remembered for her silly spirit, crazy sense of humor and infectious laugh not to mention her gorgeous smile and beautiful eyes. She was beautiful inside and out.
