Beatriz Navarro Padilla

Beatriz Navarro Padilla, 91 passed away on December 15, 2023. She was born on March 7, 1932 to Modesto and Margarita Navarro and was the eldest of 10 children (6 sisters, 3 brothers). She was a lifetime resident of Upland, California where she was born and passed away at San Antonio hospital.

Bea was a hard working person throughout her life. She began working with her family picking grapes, tomatoes, apricots and peaches at the young age of 8 in the Fresno, Sacramento and Hemet areas, until she married at the age of 15. She then worked cleaning houses, ironing, working at Cornets 5 & 10 cent store and at Shopping Bag until she was hired at Vons, where she worked for 35 years before retiring as a Bookkeeper in 1994.

She strived to get her High School diploma in 1972 and was an active member of St Joseph's Catholic parish.

Bea had amazing talent for sewing, crocheting, knitting and gardening. She had the natural ability of working with numbers and enjoyed the challenges, resulting as a Bookkeeper for Vons. She enjoyed reading newspapers daily, buying weekly lotto tickets as well as reserving Tuesdays for casino day.

Bea will be greatly missed and will always be remembered for her deepest love for her family, her incredible emotional strength, wisdom and amazing memory including birthdays as well as past history. She will always be our greatest role model.

She was married to Natalio Padilla, together having 4 children, 16 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 25 great, great grandchildren all of whom she loved devotedly.

She is survived by 2 daughters Patricia (Ruben) Duenas, Upland & Marie Ernestine (John) Arenas, Rancho Cucamonga, sisters Frances Franklin, Murrieta and Carmen Limon, Upland.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Modesto and Margarita, husband of 66 years, Natalio, 2 sons, John and Steve, 3 brothers, Anthony, Ruben, Robert and 4 sisters Margie, Rachel, Rosemary and Linda. Visitation will be 10-12 a.m. Monday, January 8th, 2024 at Stone Funeral home. Rosary will be recited at 12:30 p.m. with Funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m. both at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Upland. Burial will be at Bellevue Memorial Park, Ontario. Reception to follow.
