Betty Jo Casselle

Betty Jo Casselle, 96, of Upland California, passed away peacefully on May 21st, 2023. She was born in Brownwood, Texas on February 19th, 1927 and was married to Jim Casselle for 56 years until his death in 2000.

Betty resided many years in Huntington Beach, California where her time was spent running family-owned convenience stores before relocating to Upland in 1997 to be closer to family. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Upland where she spent time volunteering and attending mass. Betty’s favorite pastimes were attending Angel games, playing bingo with her friends, and going the horse races, especially when Victor Espinoza was riding.

She is survived by her daughter Chyrll Hall of Huntsville, Alabama, and son Lou and his wife Pegi Casselle of Rancho Cucamonga, California. She leaves behind grandchildren Jimmy Hall, David (Jennifer) Hall, Erin (Ryan) Namba, Megan (Eugene) Beltran, and Kelsey (Jeff) Casselle-Potter along with great grandchildren Morgan (Spencer) McComb, Nick (Tara) Hall, Tessa Casselle-Potter, Teagan Casselle-Potter, Aubrey Beltran, and Noah Beltran.

Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 6th at 10:30 am following the Praying of the Rosary at 9:30 at the Damien High School Chapel in La Verne, California. A private interment will take place on Wednesday, June 7th at Good Sheppard Cemetery in Huntington Beach.
