Bobbie W. Temple

Bobbie Welch Temple, 80, of Alta Loma, Calif., passed away in his home on Tuesday, April 16, 2013. He was born on May 7, 1932, in Golden, Oklahoma, to his parents: Henry Benton Tem-ples and Belle Childers Temples. He was a graduate of Broken Bow High School. He left Okla-homa to enter into the United States Air Force in 1950 where he served for three years. He was stationed at Stewart Air Force Base in Newburgh, New York. He met the love of his life, Lena Stella Visconti, at Newburgh, New York, while he was stationed there. He was married to Lena Stella Temple for 60 years. Bob Temple worked as a Manager at I.B.M. in Lexington, Kentucky, and Kingston, New York, for 25 years. His career continued in California, where he worked as a Manufacturing Manager and Engineer, retiring from Boeing Company in 1998.

Bob was loving husband, fa-ther, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to many.

He loved hunting and fishing and was a great outdoorsman. He also loved writing lyrics and songs. His family was the center of his life.

He will always be remembered for his love of family and friends, love of life, and his courage, strength and generosity.

He had three daughters, Linda Whittle, Patricia Pettey, and Christine Temple. His son-in-laws are David Whittle and Mi-chael Pettey. His sisters are Don-na Belle Van Wagoner, Cherro Roberts and Patsy Gilmore. His brothers are Henry Temples, and Bill Temples (deceased). His grandchildren are Jason Whittle, Sean Whittle, Kimberly Whittle, Joel Pettey, Matthew Pettey, Joshua Pettey, and Robin Pierson. His Great-Grandchildren are Averie Whittle, Ty Whittle, Johnny Whittle, Kieran Whittle, Sinead Whittle, Mykenzie Pierson, Ashlyn Pierson, and Hunter Pierson; a cousin, T.J. Temple; and a dear friend, Bill Engler. He had many nieces and nephews as well.

Bob was preceded in death by his brother Bill Temples.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 23, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Stone Funeral Home, 355 East 9th Street, Upland, CA 91786, (909) 982-1369.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 12704 Foothill Blvd, Etiwanda, CA 91739-9764. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Riverside National Cemetary, Riverside, California.
