Colleen Stoebe

Colleen Stoebe, 1934-2022. Colleen peacefully passed away at sunrise on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at home after a long illness. She was the youngest of three children born on September 5, 1934 in Santa Ana, CA to John and Mildred (Koon) O’Bryon. She graduated from Chaffey High School in 1952, and then 30 years later, earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Psychology, along with her license in Marriage and Family Counseling. She married Jack Clifford Stoebe from Alta Loma, CA in 1954 and had been happily married for 68 years. They raised three children together: Renee Schiller (Fred), Gary Stoebe, and Steve Stoebe (Sharon). She had 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. She had a lifelong love of music, swimming, and compassionate service. She was an active and devout member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She will be remembered for her kindness, love, and example of service to others. We will miss her, but are comforted in knowing she is with God. She is survived by her husband Jack, children Renee and Steve, 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, brother Doug Long (Judy), and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son Gary and great-granddaughter Evangeline. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the LDS Church, 9075 Baseline Road, Rancho Cucamonga, CA. A viewing will be held from 12:00-12:45 pm prior to the services.
