Edward Stephen Rembecky, born May 12, 1942, near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania passed away on February 26, 2026, aged 83 in Upland, California. He was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Margaret, his sister Stephie, his wife Marjorie, his son Lee and his granddaughter Joycelyn. He is survived by his sisters Audrey and Kathy, son Steve and his wife Teri, granddaughter Kelsey and grandson Eric.
He and his wife Marjorie moved from Pennsylvania to southern California in 1963, where they lived for the next fifty years, except for a two-year stint in Binghampton, New York in the early 1970’s, after a job transfer. The change in weather wasn’t worth the job opportunity, and they returned to California where they remained until 2014, before retiring in southern Utah.
His successful business career spanned five decades as a salesman, working for numerous companies in several industries, and as the owner of two businesses, including a family-run sporting goods store and an energy management company.
He spent many years coaching his two sons in both baseball and soccer and served as president of the local AYSO soccer region. Later, he served as chairman of a local charity, OPARC, which provided opportunities for developmentally disabled adults to reach their full potential. As grandparents, Ed and Marj spent their time attending their granddaughter Kelsey’s dance competitions and their grandson Eric’s sporting events, with nearly 100 percent attendance.
As father, grandfather, brother and friend, Ed will be missed by many.
