

Ethel Geraldine Jackson-Moton (aka Jackie Moton) was born in Delight, Arkansas, to Lester and Rosie Lee (Brown) Jackson on October 25, 1944. Jackie was called home on January 21, 2025, at San Antonio Community Hospital.
Jackie graduated from San Bernardino High School and went on to Long Beach State, where she graduated with her MSW. She worked for the Los Angeles County Children’s Social Services and retired after working for over 30 years. She had a host of hobbies, which included her love of sports, basketball, and football. She even coached the Hilltoppers girls’ softball team while working at Riverside Juvenile Detention Center. After retiring, her hobbies were crossword puzzles, shopping on Amazon, and watching Abby Phillips on CNN.
Jackie was preceded in death by her daughter, Kristine Moton, her parents, Lester and Rosie Lee Jackson, and her brothers, Dennis and Bill Jackson.
Her spirit and memories will be kept alive by her son, Pastor Jon (Cassandra) Moton, and his children, Michaela, Delaney, and Taylynn. Sister Mary (Kenneth) Whitehead and her children, Sean, Stephon (Lisa) Whitehead, and brother Trennis Jackson. Nephews: Jackie (Abraham) Jackson, David Moton, Kenneth Moton Jr., Nieces: Tina (Andrew) Colon, stepdaughter Miya Moton, Great nieces: Carisa, Alexis, Shianne, and Courtney Whitehead, Great nephews: Brandon Torres and Isaiah Whitehead. In-laws: Lee (Peter) Clark. A special friend: Jeanne Bartel.
Hosts of relatives and friends will all cherish and keep her memories alive.
