Francisco Trejo, 74, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026, in Granada Hills, California, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Texas on June 4, 1952, Francisco lived a life defined by his deep devotion to his family, his career in public service, and his unshakeable faith. He was a man of strong Christian faith who read his Bible daily and truly lived as a servant to others. No matter the circumstance, Francisco approached life with joy, gratitude, and deep conviction—perspectives perfectly captured by his favorite, signature sayings: “Life is Good” and “Keep the Faith.”

Francisco was a beloved son, husband, father, and grandfather known affectionately as “Papa” by his grandchildren, and “Cisco,” “Pancho,” or “Frank” by his family and friends. He shared 51 beautiful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Debbie, traveling the world together and creating unforgettable family memories. Closer to home, he could be found enjoying local rodeos or immersed in a good book—always seeking to educate himself and expand his knowledge so he could pass that wisdom on to others. As a vibrant people person, he brought that same generous spirit to everyone he met, effortlessly turning strangers into fast friends.

Francisco dedicated 37 years of service to LA County, working with passion and purpose in various roles to support his community. His profound desire to help others guided his career, particularly his extensive work guiding and mentoring juveniles. He retired in 2020 as the Director of Probation, leaving behind a lasting legacy of compassion, integrity, and lives transformed by his guidance.

He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie; his son, Sean; his daughter, Adena; and his cherished grandchildren, Raylan and Mabel, who will forever carry Francisco’s joyful spirit and lessons of love and faith in their hearts.

A funeral service to celebrate Francisco’s remarkable life will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Bellevue Memorial Park (1240 W. G Street, Ontario, California). Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and honor Francisco’s beautiful legacy of love, faith, and wisdom by wearing a touch of red—his favorite color—in celebration of his vibrant spirit and life.
