

Born in Panguitch Utah, Lloyd moved to Bellflower California as both of his parents took jobs in the Defense industry during the Second World War.
At the age of 19, he went on to serve 2 years of missionary work in Brazil, and upon returning home from that adventure, he was immediately drafted into the United States Army where he served in multiple roles, eventually working his way to the rank of Master Sergeant.
Upon his completed tour in the Army, he married Betty Lou Farris in 1963 and moved back to California, eventually settling in Upland. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Cal Poly Pomona, and went on to become a licensed Architect and a member of the American Institute of Architects. He had a long and fulfilling career in the industry where he worked on over 120 healthcare facilities and over 75 educational facilities.
He and Betty became parents to 2 children and worked diligently to provide a safe and caring home for their children.
Lloyd was called to serve as Bishop of the Upland Second Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the early 1980’s and was loved by all who served with him or had the opportunity to know him throughout his service.
Lloyd is survived by (2) children, (3) grandchildren and (2) great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by countless friends and family and acquaintances. May he Rest in Peace.
