James P. Gross, 60, of Fontana, California, passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020.
James, know as Jim to family and friends, was the son of Richard and Carolyn (Thompson) Gross. He was born on August 16, 1960 in Mansfield, Ohio. Jim enjoyed his work as a process engineer for Target Distribution Center, in Rialto. He truly enjoyed his job and loved making improvements to their systems. He was a faithful member of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Upland. Jim and his wife loved to travel and explore new places together. His love of trying new recipes, bread making, and cooking meat on his smoker were enjoyed by many. Jim also enjoyed golfing, wood working, reading, photography, problem solving and jigsaw puzzles.
Jim leaves behind his wife, Kathy (Brewer) Gross of Fontana, California; his mother, Carolyn Gross (passed away on December 19, 2020); his siblings, Thomas (Michelle) Gross of Cocoa, Florida, Rebecca (Robert) Householder of Jeromesville, Ohio, Patricia Gross of Orlando, Florida, and Daniel (Carmen) Gross of La Grange, Illinois; his stepson, Steven (Sasha) Brewer of Spring Hill, Florida, his two foster children, Brittany (Fisher) Brown of Beulaville, North Carolina, and Christopher Fisher of Fontana, California; and his grandchildren Savannah Brewer, Hunter Brewer, Ashlynn Scott, and Kinsleigh Brown. He was proceeded in death by his father, Richard Gross.
Services will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions can be made to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of California. Stone Funeral Home in Upland is honored to serve the family.
