

Jane Louise Christiansen of Rancho Cucamonga, passed away on February 23rd, 2026 at the age of 90. Jane was born on November 12, 1935, in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan to Walter and Helen Reichenbach. Her early years were spent in Michigan and Ohio. While in High School, Jane and her family moved to Santa Cruz, California. After graduation in 1953, Jane was accepted to Whittier College in Whittier, CA where she studied to become a schoolteacher.
While at Whittier College, Jane met Keith Krumwiede, and they were married in 1956. After graduation in 1957, she focused on being a homemaker and starting a family. They then moved to Tucson, AZ where Keith finished his college degree.
Jane and her young family moved back to California in 1960, living in Ontario, Whittier, and then Upland. Eventually they had three children: Jim, Richard, and Carol.
Keith and Jane divorced in 1971.
Jane went to work in the Social Services Dept of San Bernardino Co. where she stayed for nine years.
She later met Oliver J. (Chris) Christiansen and they married in 1978. After leaving employment with the County, Jane used her college education to work as a substitute teacher with several local elementary school districts. After several years she retired from teaching so that she and Chris could travel and enjoy time with her grandchildren.
Jane was an active long-time member of Pomona First Baptist Church (Now Purpose Church) and enjoyed the many friends she met there.
Jane and Chris loved to travel, and they spent every opportunity seeing the USA and other areas around the world. She was an avid square dancer and enjoyed several years as a member of the “Star Steppers”. Jane was involved with several women’s service and philanthropic organizations. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for almost 50 years; was active in the Rancho Cucamonga Women’s Club, Assistance League, Upland Travelers, and volunteered regularly at the Rancho Cucamonga Public Library’s bookstore.
Jane was predeceased by her husband Oliver (Chris) in 2015. She is survived by her brother Bill (Joan), by her three children; Jim (Sharon), Richard (Elizabeth), and Carol (Mike); and her grandchildren Kenneth (Kristi), Allison, Christopher (Ashley), Glenn (Laura), Andrew, and Kaitlin (Norman).
Interment will be alongside her husband at Oak Park Cemetery in Claremont, CA.
