

grandfather went home to be with the Lord on January 29,
2022. He was preceded in death by his father Luigi
DeFrancesco, Mary (Natalie) DeFrancesco, his brother Albert
DeFrancesco, nephew Anthony DeFrancesco, and his
brother-in-law Vince Cutrara. John is survived by his wife of
47 years Janice DeFrancesco, son Eric DeFrancesco, his wife
Melissa DeFrancesco, daughter Andrea DeFrancesco, son
Jason DeFrancesco, grandchildren Blake DeFrancesco,
Brooke DeFrancesco, Olivia McDaniel, and Riley Hixson.
Sisters Antonette Cutrara, Cathy (Paul) Duggan, nephews
Mike and Phillip DeFrancesco, Mike Cutrara, and nieces
Rose, Joanne, Connie, Susan, and Stephanie, and his dog
Buddy.
John was born in Toronto, Canada on April 2, 1943 to
parents Luigi and Mary DeFrancesco. John followed his
brother Albert to California in 1965, where he married Janice
(Neustrom) DeFrancesco on October 14, 1973 at the Chapel
of the Bells in Ontario CA. John graduated High School in
Toronto, Canada and attended college part time in Los
Angeles, California. When John arrived in California he began
working for Longs Drugs Pharmacy, where he gained
experience in an industry he would spend the next 50 years in
as a Pharmaceutical Sales Manager. John was drafted into
Vietnam, but wasn’t allowed to enter military service because he didn’t meet the strict
physical requirements of the US Military at the time. Johns passions were his family, his
career, hockey, and golf. John always enjoyed looking at classic automobiles, listening to
golden oldies music, sitting in the warm California sun, going to the beach, watching classic
television shows, and gameshows such as Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and Family Feud.
John always enjoyed a good burger, steak dinners, and ice cream.
A celebration of life service for John will be held at a date, time and location to be
