Kacey Van Ness

Kacey Van Ness, aged 50, passed away on April 18, 2026, in Upland, CA. Born on April 9, 1976, Kacey grew up in Lake View Terrace, Los Angeles, CA. He was a devoted husband to Debbie (nee Bailey), and a loving father to his son, Kevin. He is also survived by his parents Robert and Maureen (nee Cressy), his beloved Grammie (Virginia Cressy), and twelve younger siblings - Ginny, Christy, Rob, Tim, Steve, Daniel, Andy, Heidi, Bitzy, Paul, Jerry, and Nicky - along with numerous Bailey in-laws.

Kacey was a patriotic man who served proudly in the United States Coast Guard Reserves until 2009. Following his military service, he continued to protect and teach as security personnel for armored trucks and as a firearms safety instructor. His early education was conducted at home in Lake View Terrace, Los Angeles, which fostered his lifelong love for reading and learning.

Known for his quiet demeanor, Kacey was deeply thoughtful and enjoyed engaging in sarcastic banter with friends and siblings. He was passionate about planning for the future, particularly in teaching his son about archery and firearm safety. His secretive smile often hinted at his enjoyment of life's lighter moments. Kacey's passing is a significant loss, and he will be profoundly missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled at Stone Funeral Home, located at 355 E. 9th Street, Upland, CA 91786. Please arrive early (10a) as service begins on time at 10:30am.

Graveside services are scheduled at 12:45 at Riverside National Cemetery 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside CA 92518
