Leland Francis Marks

Leland was born September 2nd 1941 to Marie and Leo Marks in Chicago Illinois. Leland is survived by his amazing wife Lynda who he was married to for 64 wonderful years his daughters Julie Marks, Caryn Gates (Timothy) Grandsons Ryan Gates (Krystle) and Kyle Gates. Leland worked his early years in the steel mills starting in Chicago at Wisconsin Steel and later coming to California and working at Kaiser Steel. He then spent years as a facilities manager.

He was our rock and the head of our family. He was the most selfless man we knew always putting his family first and would do anything to put a smile on our faces. He planned many wonderful vacations for the family and enjoyed spending time with his grandsons at their sporting events or school events, always putting them first. He was known for his compassion for others and his knowledge to fix anything and everything. He would never turn someone away who needed help or needed advice.

As we navigate this journey without him by our side, we have peace knowing that he is in Heaven with our Lord watching, loving, and guiding us every day. He will always be in our hearts and the voice in our head and because of him we will always be loved in this life and the next.
