Marybell Colantuono

3/1962 – 1/27/2021

Passed with peace and grace after a month’s long battle with COVID on Wednesday January 27th, with her sister at her side. Predeceased by her loving mother Elisa Wright 2000. Survived by Daughter Julie Alcala- Rodriguez (Jose) of Pomona CA.; grandson Eli Rodriguez; Brother Sid Betancourt (Mary) from Apple Valley CA., Sisters Nellie Muro (Arturo) from Bonsall CA. and Carolyn Nuemi Hite (Sean) from Ontario CA. Nephews; Jose Arturo, Manuel and Sean Jr. Nieces; Nellie, Adriana, Patricia, Jasmine and Ashley; 9 great nieces and nephews, 5 aunts and uncles and too many cousins to count, as well as many loyal and caring friends.

Marybell was born in Madera CA. As a young woman Marybell truly enjoyed the outdoors, she loved to go camping, fishing, motorcycle riding and most of all her pets. She married Jose Alcala in 1986 (Divorced), after that she threw her energies into her work and raising her daughter. Marybell was kind and loving to all those she knew and would always go out of her way to help others. The things she loved the most was: being around family and friends, she loved working the St. Joseph Festival and taking care of her corn booth that she ran with family and friends, she would go out of her way to volunteer even if she was in pain or not feeling well. She would always say that she didn’t have a lot to give, but she could give of herself; She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and whose greatest passion was helping others.

Her Mass will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church on April 14th at 9:30am
