So very sorry to hear of Michael's passing. He was a charming, warm, devoted man; that was clear even though I only saw him at a few archive conferences in St. Louis. He is in the best of all places now. May God comfort you in your loss.

Sorry to hear of Mr. Doyle's passing.  My brother Mike was in his 5th grade class at Birney Elementary in 1961-1962. I was also taught by Mr. Doyle for 5th grade in 1963-1964, but fell ill and missed pretty much the whole second half of the year.  I am sure he prayed for my recovery.  I also had him as a European History teacher (9th grade) at Burke Jr. High 1967-1968. Great teacher, who held you accountable. I see more importantly that he was a terrific man of God.

Dear Mina,  I just heard the news about Mike.  I am so sorry to hear of his passing.  He was such a great leader and such a positive role model for all his students and collegues.  I used to think of him often.  He is an inspiration to all of us.

Mr Doyle was a GREAT teacher and wonderful person.  Had him for a teacher at Burke Jr. High in Pico Rivera, CA.  May he rest in peace.

Rest in peace.  I was just talking to my husband about my first principle at jasper elementary and how we were the jasper jets.  I went tonjasper starting from kindergarden.  Such a good principle I remember that far back about Mr. Doyle until he retired.

Mr. Doyle, You will be missed.  I only was there for 3rd grade, but I will sure think of you.

Mina, I am so sorry to read of his passing.  He was one of a kind. He always gave me a hug when you would go to the Craft Fair and saw me. It was always a pleasure to see him at Jasper.I will always remember him, my First  Principal

Mike was a loyal friend and man of great faith.  Always the gentleman, he sought the good in all.  His devotion to God, family and friends is commendable.  Mike always cared for the staff and co-workers with whom he was affiliated.  Mike was always ready to lend a helping hand and a kind word.  Condolences and prayer for Mike and his family.

I enjoyed many conversations with Mike about education and received advise from him to use in my teaching.  Mike always had such a big smile and was a great neighbor.

Mr. Doyle was my 9th grade History and English teacher 45 years ago. I always knew he was a great teacher, but it was when we reconnected several years later, that I discovered that he was such a good man, of great faith and strong character. I will miss running into him around town. To Mrs. Doyle and his children my heartfelt sympathy to all of you.

Mike was a beautiful person, a man of great faith, and the best neighbor anyone would ever want. We are also grateful for his outstanding contribution to education and music ministry. We will miss him dearly.

Michael Doyle was an amazing teacher!  I can still remember one of his lessons 45 years later.  But more than what he taught, it was his character that impressed me the most.  So glad that he was a Believer...heaven is enriched and we'll see him again.
