Natividad Eugene Vasquez

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nat Vasquez of Ontario, California, at the age of 92.

Born on Christmas Day in the early 1930s, Nat was given his name as a reflection of the Nativity—the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. He was raised in a loving Catholic family in the small community of Guasti, California, alongside his four siblings.

Nat was a devoted family man, a hard worker, a dedicated provider, and, above all, a wonderful father. He was married to the love of his life for more than 70 years, and together they built a family filled with love, faith, and cherished memories. He is survived by his beloved wife and their five children.

Nat dedicated more than 35 years of his working life to a well-known steel company before beginning a second career as a school bus driver for the Chaffey Unified School District in Ontario, California, where he worked for 26 years.

He had a special love for children. Being around them brought him great joy, and he naturally became a mentor—not only to his own children, but also to many of the neighborhood children who grew up around our family in Ontario. He had a way of making young people feel valued, respected, and cared for.

To us, Dad was the glue that held our family together. He taught us the importance of respecting others, loving one another, and treating people with the same kindness and compassion we would hope to receive ourselves. His lessons were not simply words; they were reflected in the way he lived his life.

We will miss him more than words can ever express. We hope to honor his memory by living our lives by his example—by being the kind of people he taught us to be, and by carrying forward the unconditional love, kindness, acceptance, and compassion he showed throughout his life.

Dad, your love, your wisdom, your laughter, and the memories you gave us will remain in our hearts forever. Your legacy lives on through your family, the lives you touched, and the lessons you taught us.

May our beloved Dad, husband, father, grandfather, and mentor truly Rest in Peace until we meet again.
