He never finished High School because his father died and he went to work to support his Mother, brother and sisters. He joined the CCC Camps during the Great Depression which led him into the Navy and World War II. His tour of duty was in Africa, England, New Zealand and Japan. After the war he met Stella and they married in July 1947. They were married for 72 years until his wife Stella passed away February 2019. They had two sons Peter and John. Which gave them 6 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
