

Richard Nero, 68 of Alta Loma, unexpectedly passed away at his home on January 3, 2015. He was born on March 20, 1946 in Ossining, NY to parents John Joseph & Shirley Hamilton Nero. Richard graduated Ossining High School in 1964 and went on to graduate Norwich University with a BS degree in Engineering in 1968. He served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Signal Corps stationed in Alaska and Fort Monmouth, NJ. In 1974, Richard married Teri Pizarchik and they had three girls. They moved to California in 1979 where he successfully owned his own business, RJN Insurance Services, Inc. for 34 years as a licensed insurance broker.
Richard worked hard but loved vacationing in Hawaii and spending time with his family. He loved is garden (tomatoes, zucchini & cucumbers) and fruit trees. He was a certified muscle car fanatic - finding them, restoring them, showing them at car shows, and attending Barrett-Jackson auctions. His wry sense of humor and loving heart will greatly be missed. Richard is survived by his wife of 40 years, Teri, three daughters, Anjee, Kristie & Ciera, son-in-law Michael, granddaughter Makayla and sister Lynne.
Funeral services will be held at Stone Funeral Home in Upland, Ca on Monday, January 12. The public viewing will begin at 11a with Military Honors and Funeral Services beginning at 1p.
