Ricky was a very curious and active little boy. He could not help getting into everything— drawers, cabinets, closets. He was constantly smiling, talking and playing with his sisters and cousins. Swimming and baking cookies were daily activities when his family moved to Santa Clarita. Cartoon Network, superheroes and skateboarding with friends were part of his pastimes.
Ricky spent the next 5 years of his life in Beaumont where he made new friends and enjoyed living near his grandparents. He had many adventures at Soak City, Disneyland and local skate parks. He taught himself to play the guitar and created skating videos with friends and cousins. He even learned to do yo-yo tricks. He was able to learn whatever he set his mind to do.
After his first year of high school, he moved with his family to Rancho Cucamonga. Skating, music, and films continued to be important to him. He could spend hours searching for and watching movies from every genre. He loved using youtube to learn more about his favorite shows and films. He learned to enjoy cooking. He continually watched videos to learn more. He made the best mashed potatoes and excellent pasta. He loved working at Johnny O’s Cafe, his last job, and he loved to spend time with Sydney who understood him better than anyone. He could make others laugh with his sense of humor and never had an unkind word to say about anyone. He wanted to be the best version of himself. He was loved by his friends and family and will be deeply missed.
Some of Ricky’s likes: Spiderman, Howie and Lily (his dogs), The Office, Bob’s Burgers, King of the Hill, 3rd Rock from the Sun, popcorn, cookie dough ice cream, Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Dr. Pepper, dancing.
Ricky is survived by his parents, three sisters, Marina Espinoza, Diana Cash and Cassandra Cash, and his always caring grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
