Robert married Emma Jean Self in Indio, California on March 2, 1968. Together they raised three children - Timothy Robert, Lori Jean, and Randy Todd Lombardo.
Robert loved spending time with his family and always found ways to make us laugh. He attended numerous soccer games, football games, band and color guard competitions in support of his children and granddaughters. He would say, "I can fix anything" and was well known for all the projects he would take on around the house. He always taught his children practical life skills and to always read the directions. Robert loved clowns, rigatoni with tomato, sauce, meatballs and Italian sausage, apple pie and German chocolate cake. His favorite movies were Fiddler on the Roof and the Godfather series. He loved the old church hymns. He entered heaven listening to hymns and Fiddler on the Roof. He was also a Kansas City Chiefs fan.
He was proud of his army service. The National Anthem brought tears to his eyes.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents Philip and Virginia Lombardo. He is lovingly survived by his wife, Jean and children Tim, Lori and Randy. Robert is also survived by his daughter in law, Carolea Lombardo and three granddaughters Audrey Santana (husband Andrew), Grace Willet (husband Trenton) and Emilia Lombardo.
Bob was grateful for the medical care he received from his Kaiser doctors: Primary Care, Dr. Toochinda; Cardiologist, Dr. Do and Pulmonary, Dr. Gabreab. He called them "The Big Three".
Robert Noel Lombardo was a man of God. He served as a church deacon and lived his life with a strong faith in Jesus Christ. Robert is now with his heavenly father, resting peacefully. There is nothing up there he has to fix. He now lives in eternal joy, love and peace.
