Ruth Ann Sherman

84 of Upland passed away in her home on July 12th. She was born in Mynard, Nebraska May 12, 1928. She was the daughter of John & Hermie Blotzer and sister of Buzz Blotzer, Helen McClain, and Johnny Blotzer. In 1948 Ruth married Richard Sherman and came to California. They moved into their home in Upland in 1950 where she resided until her passing. Ruth had 4 children, 4 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. She was a member of Epsilon Inernational Sorority for 25 years and a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church for 20 years. Ruth was the Altar Rosary Society President in 1962. She worked as a chef for 25 years and retired from the Sheraton Hotel in Ontario where she worked the breakfast and lunch shift. Ruth enjoyed camping, bowling, cooking, watching Angels Baseball, and she loved being with her family. She was a dedicated mother and a true friend to many. Ruth is survived by her children; Mike Sherman (Sonia), Pat Sherman (Kristine), RaeAnn Kaliher (Jerry), Traci Sherman (Michelle), grandchildren; Melody Rosen, Jordan Kaliher, Emmalee Kaliher, Rubi Sherman, and great grandchildren; Aiden and Zander Rosen. She will be truly missed. Services will be held at Stone Funeral Home, 355 E. 9th Street, Upland CA, 91786 on Sunday July 22nd at 11:00 a.m..
