Sergio Andrade, age 63, passed away after a two-year battle with cancer on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. Sergio was born in Los Angeles, CA, and grew up in the Montecito Heights neighborhood with his mother, Dora Luz; brothers, Mark and Ruben; and his sister, Dora. He proudly served his country in the United States Army as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. After his honorable discharge, he spent much of his adult life as a mortgage lender, helping countless families and individuals achieve the American dream of homeownership, a source of great pride for him. Most recently, he found success in the flooring industry, where he quickly built strong, lasting friendships with both his clients and colleagues.
Sergio was a man of deep Christian faith. He loved helping others and served in the church as a member of both the worship and security teams. He had a profound love for life, his family, and his dogs. His favorite pastimes included hiking with his dog Charles, gardening, riding his motorcycle, attending classic car shows, dining out, and watching movies.
We will forever miss his positive outlook on life, his joy in celebrating even the smallest moments, and his warm, infectious smile. Sergio is survived by his beloved wife, Xochitl; his children, Michael Anthony, Angelique, Isaac, and Jeremiah; his two brothers, Mark and Ruben; and his cherished grand-dog, Zelda.
