Sherry Lee Parker

Sherry Lee Parker, 62, of Adairville, Kentucky rejoined her heavenly family and gained her wings on September 29, 2021. Sherry spent her childhood in Adairville, Kentucky. She graduated from Adairville High School in 1978 before relocating to Oahu, Hawaii in 1982. There, she met and married her husband, Robert James Parker. Their wedding date was October 28th, 1983. The family believes that it is no coincidence that Sherry and Robert are joined together again on this date, 38 years later.

Sherry and her family moved to California in 1989. In California, she began to pursue nursing as a career. Sherry's caring heart and jovial humor was enjoyed by peers and patients alike. She made lifelong friends from peers that respected her compassionate and loving nature. Sherry continued a career in nursing until she retired, devoting many years of care to others. In her retirement, Sherry enjoyed spending time with her daughters and her grandchildren, she had a remarkable way of creating fun moments and making everyone feel special. She had a talent for turning strangers into friends and leaving lasting impressions that stir smiles with her memory. Sherry had a vibrant energy that she shared openly, she lived authentically, and she loved unconditionally. Sherry's zest for life and indomitable spirit continue to inspire her children, grandchildren, and loved ones.

Sherry is survived by her daughters, LeAnn Dukes and Shannon Parker, her grandchildren Eligha Cambric, Serena Mendez, and Raymond Mendez, and her siblings, Gayle Wilson, John Bomar, and Roxanna Smith. Sherry was predeceased by her husband, Robert James Parker, on April 20th, 2010.

While Sherry's family grieves her loss, they are choosing to remember her in a way that honors her spirit. Please avoid wearing black, by Sherry's previous request, and join her family in a Celebration of Life Ceremony at Stone Funeral Home in Upland, California. It will take place on October 28th at 10 a.m. It will be followed by a burial service at Riverside National Cemetery.
