I'd like to share a Christmas poem Uncle Wood wrote a couple years ago:
      
            Years end ---
               Hearts expand ---
                   Albums Opened ---
             Vistas revisited ----
                    Happy times ---
                        Spirits renewed ---
                           ---Woody
And he added "Thanks for sharing!" to the card's message before signing

I hope we'll continue to share his legacy of communication, enthusiasm for life and love as the years continue by more entries in this guest book and by remembering Times With Woody, such as his great stories, including the World War II ones.  We'll always be grateful to him also for his service to our country.

Our Uncle Woody was a very special person in our lives. As a positive, congenial, caring man, he enriched our lives to make us what we are today. Our fond memories will be with us forever.

Woody flew B-26s in World War II, he was subsequently a teacher at Chaffey High School in Ontario, then a teacher and then principal of Huntington Beach High School.  He is survived by his two daughters, Bonita Jo Engle Shoults and Barbara Sue Clark. He was my favorite uncle.
