Yvonne was my PE teacher in 1986-1987 at Townsend Jr High in Chino Hills, CA.  I became a middle school English teacher and often model my patience and temperate way of dealing with junior highers after her way. She was always understanding and gave me the benefit of the doubt which helped me realize the true nature of my ways. She helped me be a more honest, accountable person because she treated me with dignity. What a wonderful example of every student’s favorite teacher- she was my favorite. Thank you for sharing her with us. Peace be with you all. 

I've always remembered both you and Bonnie with great fondness. I'm sorry to discover the news. I occasionally watched the girls when they were toddlers and you and Bonnie were always very kind and generous. Wishing you and your family the best.

I was fortunate to meet Bonnie right before she left Magnolia to work at the district office.  She gave me the opportunity to join the Magnolia Team with a very welcoming smile that I will never forget.

Bonnie brought light and love with her wherever she went and to all who were lucky enough to be around her.  Her smile could light up the darkest of rooms and those brilliant green eyes generated warmth, joy and love.  So much love that it worked its way into all of our hearts and changed our DNA for the better.  Pete, I can remember the night you were packing your belongings on Evergreen, you were so excited and so in love.  I can also recall a recent dinner in Pasadena with you, Bonnie, Dave and myself and I remember thinking that Bonnie looked at you with the same amount of joy as the day you got married.  Megan & Kellsie, your mother spoke of both of you with such pride, love and happiness and those emotions extended to Brant, Chris, Vince, Gianni, Brody & Alessandra.  She would give us updates on all her babies with such enthusiasm and would giggle at the sweet, silly moments of life.  That type of love will live forever.  Hold your hand to your heart.  It's there.

Pete my dearest buddy, My heart goes out to you, Megan, Kelsey and your grand kids Pete. Since that night that you and I went to the dance at Mt Sac, about 43 years ago, you looked across the room and decided to ask that beautiful girl to dance, you with your bell bottoms and Fro, who would have known that it would change you and Bonnie's life forever.  I think the song  was "light my fire" by the Doors. That was the best decision you ever made Pete. Bonnie was a strong and passionate individual, she loved teaching her kids, she loved her daughters, grand kids and especially you Pete. 
But the most I remember about Bonnie was her SMILE! she would light up the room, so special, just like the one above here, she was such a positive and confident person.  I think she played a little basketball with us too, as I remember she kicked your butt Pete, mine also, a long time ago, she would not give up, such a competitor. Pete I want you to remember one thing, that whatever you do and where ever you go, your Bonnie will always be with you buddy.

I am so sorry for your loss.  Bonnie was one of my first principals.  She consistently had confidence in me and encouraged me every step of the way of my first years of teaching. My kids have a great memory of her - she'd offer them lollipops when they came to visit.  After they accepted and began to eat them, she'd ask them to share.  They would hesitate and she'd have the biggest grin on her face.  I will miss her always!

Our friendship began when we both bought our first homes in Cucamonga on Mangrove street. The four of us shared many card games, midnight runs to Tommy's in LA, camping trips, and eventually godparents to each other's second child. The last time the four of us were together was May 3. 2013, having dinner together in our home.  Seems appropriate as that's how our 36 year friendship began. Four weeks later Gabe left this earth to be with our Heavenly Father....and now Bonnie!  My heart aches for all of you today. Hold on to and cherish your memories!

Our deepest and most heart felt condolences to you and your family.  My husband Paul and I had Bonnie as a P.E. teacher at Magnolia Junior High back in 1976 and we have nothing but fond memories of her.  She was always so laid back and easy going.  Her advice was always right on point.  We always said Bonnie was like the Bionic Woman, Jamie Summers, because she was beautiful and she always wore the best looking sweatsuits.  Bonnie had such an influence on my life that I even became a Physical Education teacher.  I will never forget her and Paul and I can't thank her enough for everything she did for us as students.  Any time I was at the district office, I would always stop by her office just to see her friendly face.  She will be greatly missed and always admired by me and my family.
