Eugene Woody Buchanan

ADVANCE---Gene Woody Buchanan, 69 passed away July 29, 2015 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House. He was born October 13, 1945 in Mitchell County to the late Grady and Merle Woody Buchanan. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Annie Buchanan, his daughter Robin Buchanan and a grandson Dustin Buchanan.“Pops “as he was affectionately known by many loved camping, bluegrass; and had a lifelong career as a truck driver. He is survived by his brother Allen Buchanan and wife Kathy of Hickory his son Russell Farley; step-children Mike, Lefty, Steve, Kendall, Melissa, Tammy, Becky, Christy and special thanks to Barbara Stewart for all her care she has given; a niece Sarah Holloway; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. A visitation of friends will be held Saturday August 1, 2015 at 11:00am at Reflections Church, 2416 North Center Street, NC, 28601.
