Fleecie L Lewis Queen

Fleecie Cordell Lewis Queen, age 94, of Connelly Springs, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 6, 2016. Fleecie was born the daughter of the late Garrett Lewis and Maude Johnson Lewis on April 7, 1922 in Avery County.

Fleecie was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed gardening and yard work.

Along with her parents, Fleecie is preceded in death by two husbands, Tillman Williams and Reid Queen; three brothers and nine sisters.

Those left behind to cherish her memory include two special friends Melany “Her Girl” Doty and David Calloway, both of Hildebran; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 9, 2016 in the Chapel of Valdese Family Funeral Care. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
