George Elmer Painter III

George Elmer Painter, III, age 47, of Marion, NC, died Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Memorial Mission Hospital. He was a wonderful husband and father. He had a heart of gold and loved spending time with his children.

Mr. Painter was born August 2, 1964 in Philadelphia, PA to Carol Lake Painter of NJ and to the late George Painter, Jr.

In addition to his mother, also surviving are his wife, Davida Hass Painter of the home; three beloved daughters, Melanie, Maranda and Natalie Painter all of the home; one brother, Robert Painter and wife, Jennifer of Philadelphia, PA; two sisters, Marie Harbord and husband, Harry of NJ and Brenda Painter of Philadelphia, PA; a special aunt, Margie John and husband, Charlie Hammill of Marion; and several cousins and other relatives.

The family request that memorialization will be by cremation.
