Hilda Naomi Deal

Mrs. Deal was born in Newton, NC on February 18, 1929 to the late Lawrence H. & Flora Johnson Sigmon. She was married to the late Roy Jones Deal, Sr. Mrs. Deal was a member of Icard’s Grove Baptist Church. She loved gardening and was especially fond of flowers. She also enjoyed puzzles and quilting. Most of all, Mrs. Deal loved the Lord and her family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will always be loved and remembered by her friends and family.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Noareen Deal Miles; a son in law, Jerry L. Miles; a grandson, Rex Aaron Pressley; and two brothers, Henry Dale Sigmon and Eric L. Sigmon.

Survivors include two sons, Roy Deal, Jr. and wife Jill of Connelly Springs and Wendall Deal and wife Tammy of Connelly Springs; a brother, Stephen Sigmon of Maiden, NC; a sister, Madalyn Carter of Maiden; seven grandchildren; and a great grandchild.

A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m., Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Memorial Chapel of Valdese Family Funeral Care with the Rev. Eldon Hinegardner officiating. Interment will follow at Burke Memorial Park in Morganton. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the funeral home.
