Alifair Iris Lewis

Allie Lewis, 100, of Mountainburg, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at her home. She was born August 21, 1925 in Crystal, Idaho to the late Floyd and Rissie (Fannin) Denning. She was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Lewis; two daughters, Bonnie J. Bruhns and Suzanne Lewis; two sons, Blake M. Lewis and Thomas G. Lewis; three sisters, Lauree Keller, Joyce Garn, and Nadine Taylor; and three brothers, Lamar Denning, Bill Denning, and Dale Denning.

She is survived by a daughter, Becky Tufts and husband Jimmy of Rogers; a sister, Jean Keller of Utah; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 3, 2025 at the Church of Christ of Latter-day Saints in Alma with interment to follow at the Fort Smith National Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Jason Tufts, Enoch Tufts, Aaron Tufts, Timothy Tufts, Pete Gonzales, and Simon Tufts.

Viewing will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 2, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
