Anita Yeakley, 72, of Van Buren, passed away Friday, February 24, 2023 along with her loving canine companion “Q”. She was born September 17, 1950 in Mulberry to the late J.D. Shores and Wanda (Blasingame) Free.
She is survived by three daughters, Cindy Weaver of Van Buren, Barbara Cole and husband Harold of Van Buren, and Angela Slusher and husband Earl of Mountainburg; two sons, Tim Yeakley and wife Nancy of Texas, and Phillip Yeakley and wife Jessica of Van Buren; a brother, David Shores and wife April of Fort Smith; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.
Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR. There are no services scheduled at this time; ashes will be placed at Gregory Cemetery at a later date.
