Anthony “Tony” Romano, 74, of Lavaca, previously of Clarksville, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at his home. He was born October 29, 1944 in Chicago to the late Anthony and Regina Romano. He had worked for Arkansas Nuclear One in Russellville, and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam Conflict. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marcy Romano; two sisters, Linda Lee Carlson, and Dorothy Platt; and a grandchild, Harrison Cade Fisher.
He is survived by his wife, Grace Romano of the home; three daughters, Maria Paradis of Clarksville, Mona Romano of Lebanon, ME, and Jenny Gleisner of Chicago; three sons, Anthony Romano of Sanford, ME, Andy Romano of Palmer, AK, and Michael Fisher of Van Buren; two sisters, Marguerite Kral of Chicago, and Lynn Huckaby of Kansas; a brother, Michael Romano of Zion, IL; numerous grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Cremation is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR. There are no services scheduled at this time.
