Audrey J. Cavanaugh Furney

Audrey J. Furney, 78, of Van Buren, Arkansas died, Monday, July 19, 2010 in Van Buren. She was born December 20, 1931 in Kalamazoo, MI and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Furney, as well as two sons, John Joseph Furney and Jamie Lynn Furney.

She is survived by four daughters, Alice Furney of Tucson, AZ, Anna House of Van Buren, AR, Jody Cooley of Van Buren, AR, and Karen Anderson of Van Buren, AR; four sons, Nick Furney of McAlester, OK, Tom Furney of Muldrow, OK, Tim Furney of Muldrow, OK, and Bill Furney of Van Buren, AR; 20 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, July 23, 2010 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel. Committal service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, July 23, 2010 at Memorial Garden Cemetery in Wilburton, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Truman Anderson, Bill Furney, Randal House II, John Halleran, Jeremy House, and Jereimiah Furney.

Honorary pallbearer will be Ken Medlock.

The family will visit with friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Hwy, Van Buren, AR.
