Mrs. Barbara Brenton, 75, of Alma, AR died Friday, December 13 in an area hospital. She was the retired owner and operator of K and B Rentals in Alma, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in San Diego, CA, and a passionate genealogist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Douglas Brenton, Sr.
Mrs. Brenton is being cremated under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren. No formal services are scheduled.
She is survived by three daughters; Eva Carlson of San Diego, CA, Debra Seward of Port Angeles, WA, Katherine Granger of Bemidji, MN, five sons; Ted Ragsdale of Rifle, CO, Terry Ragsdale of Fruita, CO, Lloyd Ragsdale of Alma, AR, Kenneth Brenton Jr. of Alma, AR, William Sinniger of San Diego, CA, a sister Hazel George of Florida, a brother James George of Santee, CA, twenty grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
