Barbara Ann McKown

Barbara McKown, 81, of Van Buren, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, March 2, 2022. She was born April 3, 1940 in Van Buren to the late James and Nettie (Harris) Smith. She was retired from First National Bank - Fort Smith. She was preceded in death by a son, Brad McKown.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Harold of the home; a daughter-in-law, Karen McKown-Wedel; two grandsons, Matthew McKown and wife Rachel of Little Rock, and Austin McKown and wife Tamara of Van Buren; two great-grandchildren, Liam McKown of Van Buren, and Vivian McKown of Little Rock with another great-grandson, Lucas, on the way; and a sister, Georgia Polk of Van Buren.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2022 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Matthew McKown, Austin McKown, Harold Smith, Donnie Kendrick, Roger Kendrick, and Gary Medlock.

The family will visit with friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home, 4100 Alma Highway, Van Buren, AR.
