Billie Walters

Billie Walters, 86, of Fort Smith passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016 in Fort Smith. She was born March 25, 1930 in Fort Smith to the late William and Mary Jocye. She was a retired associate for Wal-Mart in Fort Smith, a member of North Park Baptist Church in Van Buren, and a former member of the Red Hat Society.

She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Wakefield and companion Larry Hearn of Van Buren, and Debbie Kendrick and husband Roger of Van Buren; a son, Robert Walters and wife Sandy of Van Buren; two nephews, Paul Joyce of Broken Arrow, and Steven Joyce of Fort Smith; eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, and two special friends, Billie Rich and David Beshears.

Funeral service will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with private interment to follow at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
